Yitzak Shamir has stood out as one of the greatest Jewish leaders in our time, as Commander of Lehi (Fighters for the Freedom of Israel), in the Mossad, as Speaker of the Knesset, as Foreign Minister and as Prime Minister.
He had the foresight to see events as they are and not as people would like them to be.
He served our people and the State of Israel with impeccable honesty, great foresight, strength of character and great leadership and above all a love for our people and Eretz Israel.
He was one of the founders of the State of Israel.
